Look forward to this. I need a little push everyonce in a while(ok a big push).
ReplyDeleteMarye Anne
This is one of the best ideas I have come across in a long time. It reminds me of the Gratitude Journal I kept for quite some time. It changed my life. I know we all can benefit from noticing and recording the many "gifts" that are given to us daily. To record them in a way that will also be delightful will give a lift to the spirits of the recorder and any who may read it. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteOooh...I can't wait! Like Marye Anne said...I too need a little push once in awhile and this will definetly do it!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
This sounds like so much fun! It's always good to slow down, take a moment, and celebrate the little things in life.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds wonderful. I'm looking forward to joining in on this challenge and hope I can find the joy in the little things in my life in the coming year.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great keepsake for my children!
ReplyDeleteI am grateful that you are doing this project. It will help me be more aware of and appreciate the wonderful things that happen to me. Being grateful is important for all of us.
ReplyDeleteI think we all tend to photograph and scrapbook the "big events" like birthdays, holidays, etc. I love the idea of chronicling the more everyday events that really make up the majority of life! (I just hope it's not too pricey . . . )
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT! My father passed away suddenly 4 years ago. The LITTLE THINGS truly are the BIG THINGS that you remember and cherish. His death has made me realize how important life is and to be grateful for all the little blessings. Can't wait to get started!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an exciting project. I can't wait to see the first pages...
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful we can all look a bit closer at the splendor that God has created all around us and be ever more thankful for the blessings in our lives.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this idea. There are so many things we all have to appreciate. I tend to focus on my children and grandkids in books. This will give me a chance to focus on things I love. Thanks for this great idea. Can't wait to get started
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this idea. I can't wait to get started. It will be great for all of the pictures that you take that don't quite add up to a full scrapbook page.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great idea, especially with the motivation to actually complete the project. But I'm with Tammy--I really hope it won't cost too much! Thanks for continually coming up with new project ideas.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic idea. Memory Mixer is so awesome! I need to slow down and take time to recognize all of the little things in life that make life so wonderful and worth living. I think I will start today. Why wait until January. My two little boys wanted to take a ride on a little train at the mall today and I said what the heck why not. So for the first time ever I splurged and we took the train. The look on those boys faces was unforgettable. I need to write it down and attach a picture.
ReplyDeleteI love it when people are smart enough to help us do things that we should be doing anyways. I think the idea is great! I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my FAVORITE quotes! What a great theme to base an entire project around!
ReplyDeleteI love this theme. It's something that has really been brought to my attention lately! Can't wait to give it a gry!
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh. This is such a wonderful opportunity to realize that the small things in life is what's really important to all of us.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for giving us this program. I am looking forward to making this album. I am 74 years old and I already know that the little things matter, but this will give me a chance to scrap those moments. Again, thanks.
Hugs,
Lynn Everett
What a fun idea! That's one of my favorite quotes! I'm excited!
ReplyDeleteNatalie
I think this is a fantastic idea! I can't wait to get started on it in the new year! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea! This will be such a great memory. Can't wait to get started.
ReplyDeleteFabulous!!! I am thrilled with this new idea....it makes me wonder how many other "theme" books are a part of my life. Can't wait to start!
ReplyDeleteDenise
What a wonderful idea to get us remembering what we should be focusing on instead of all the distractions of life.
ReplyDeletegreat! I have been wanting to do something like this and this idea will really help.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great idea. Can't wait to get started.
ReplyDeleteI just love this idea, and appreciate you guys for initiating this project! I too, like many of the others can't wait to see the first pages and to get started! I brag about Memory Mixer to all my friends and even though I am a "traditional" scrapbooker, this will give me something to keep my idol hands busy when I am having tough days and can't manage to get out of the bed due to health difficulties. Now I have something else to tell my friends why I love Memory Mixer - keep up the great work! God bless!
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughter started a photo-a-day blog last year, which I thought would be a fun project for this coming year. But like so many other great future projects, the idea got lost in the holiday shuffle. THANK YOU Memory Mixer for reminding me of my 2010 project, and for giving me all the tools I'll need to complete it! Can't wait to get started!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea. What a fabulous way to stay focused on the important things in life!
ReplyDeleteI think this will inspire me to do more scrapbooking. I haven't conquered this yet, and I think I get overwhelmed with it all, but this will make it a lot easier to document my 3 year old's life...
ReplyDeleteWow this is a cool idea.. and since iv just split up with my husband, i suppose this will make me try appreciate the little things iv got, or the little things i do..since iv got all this time for myself that i guess il learn to appreciate more from having more time for myself.. I dont mean to sound too pompous but being single isnt so easy, so i gotta keep my head busy focusing on the good things in life!
ReplyDeleteThanks MMixer for this idea and best of all, you're providing us with cute items for making our layouts!wooo hoooo!!
As 2010 is a year that I have been looking forward to for the last 4 years, this idea couldn't come at a better time.
ReplyDeleteMy family & I are going on a holiday to USA / Canada / Vanuatu to...
* celebrate my 40th birthday in Disneyland
* my children's & husband's first trip overseas
* to meet friends (for the 1st time) that I have been internet friends with for the last 12 years
* to visit friends & relatives in USA & Canada
* to celebrate my 10-year wedding anniversary in Vanuatu
* to take care-packages to 3 rural, isolated schools in Vanuatu (as per my 7-year old daughter's suggestion)
So... 2010... what a year it will be... what a year to remember... what a year of new experiences... and what a year to reflect back on ! I Can't wait !
Thanks so much Memory Mixer for such an AWESOME idea.. I can't wait to get started (if only my holiday started NOW !)
I have been wanting to do something like this for a long time. I am so excited! This will be great :)

ReplyDeleteI have been very busy with life and all it brings. I am a working mother who cant afford to stay home with my kids but really wants to. So I have taken on a ton of odd jobs to help with income and hopefully allow me to stay home with my kids. But in this process I have totally forgot about me. I am a very creative person who loves to draw, craft and scrapbook. with everything going on I tent to forget to do what I love. So this challenge is something more to me than a challenge, it's discovering who I am one day at a time and forcing myself to take time for me and getting back to my roots. Thank you for this opportunity,
ReplyDeleteKeela
I was at Dinner the other night with some girl friends and I we are talking about Scrapbooking and none of them had heard of memory mixer. I have loved using memory mixer! So, I told them all about it. I told them about Board Books, and how you can make videos, I told them how easy it is to use and how I made my Christmas Card on Memory Mixer! One of the girls talk to me the next day and asked more about it and where she could get it. Anyway, I love memory mixer. It is so user friendly. I have so many projects started and this idea of "the little things" is going to really help me stay organized this year.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds very interesting. I can't wait to hear more about it.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to hear about this project. I think it will force me to take pictures more of the regular things in life.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I couldn't imagine what the big surprise was! But what a great surprise. When I first read it, I said to myself. OK. I am going to do this one! So thanks for the help and support in doing a year long project. Can't wait to get started!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see this! Sounds like exactly what I need to help keep me on track and motivated!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea and I can't wait to be a part of this project. I need this to help me to remember it really is the little things that make our lives.
ReplyDeleteSuper EXCITED! What a great idea and way to kick off the new year 2010! Can't wait to create pages of all the blessings in my life! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to do this. Thanks for the blog too! What a great idea! The little things each day are what the journey of life is all about! We are all so blessed and this will be a great way of recording the little things that make each moment of each day so special! Thanks Memory Mixer....your company is one of the blessings in my life! xo Jill Norwood
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a very good idea. Can't wait to try it.
ReplyDeleteI have a backlog in Memory Mixer Newsletters and Lord knows what made me decided to open this one first. My spirit was immediately lifted and knew that this was exactly what I needed! I am disabled and have become house bound and often bed ridden, it's easy to look back all the time and think of what you have lost and can not do anymore. I'm now looking forward to start working on this project and learn how to be here and in the now!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much whoever thought of this brilliant project!
Sounds like a fun project! I got MemoryMixer for Christmas and cannot wait to get started!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to slow down and focus on the things that actually make me happy!
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun. Can't wait to get started!
ReplyDeletePerfect! Taking on a project by day, week or month is manageable!
ReplyDeleteThank you for providing this new vessel to Journal and use my favorite thing (MemoryMixer) to do it!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of focusing on the little things! I can always use more gratitude in my heart as I chase my 3, soon to be 4, little things around the house!
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun, sometimes I need a little motovation.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited! I try to write down the things my kids do, but more often than not I don't. This should motivate me!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to start this project. Not only does it provide a special twist to everyday scrapbooking, but it really should open up minds and hearts to the many blessings we all have. I am hoping to get a group of friends together to work on this project. Each of us indevidually of course, but it should be so wonderful to do it! January 1 can't come soon enough!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun project. I am looking forward to starting this. What more fun to use more of Memory Mixer, love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea. So often we get busy and forget to celebrate the little things.
ReplyDeleteSo I started this challenge last week thinking I'd slow life down and focus on my kids and husband, but this last week brought my life to a hault.
ReplyDeleteMy 35 year old brother passed away unexpectedly and I'm still in shock. The only thing keeping me up and going is a book and movie I am creating about him for the funeral and his two sons left behind, using Memory Mixer of course.
The fun stories and good times people have been sharing with the family have kept our spirits high. Thank you for this gift Memory Mixer of sharing memories with others and making it easy with your software.
I will be looking for the simple things in life a lot more closely this year and recording all that I can.
Memory Mixer, you asked for my Memory Mixer username - larsensn - because I won the random winner give away. rckymtnbeauty
Thank you for helping me stop and smell the flowers. This is a great idea. I hope to have a full album by next year. My username is pianobook.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if the quote with those fonts is available for download anywhere? ("Enjoy the little things of life, for one day you may realize they were the big things."-above)
ReplyDeleteT is for Tammy - If you download either the January Quick Mix "Little Things" or the freebie "Little Things" blank template, page 2 is the quote in the fonts. =}
ReplyDeleteHas anyone made an outline of what they are going to photograph each day/or each week? It would be great if MM would post something everyday on their blog we could go off of. I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI am soooo dang excited!!!
ReplyDeleteJANETC1215 - I was giving a lot of worried thought to would I be able to find something to photograph EVERY day. I concluded that it's time to be spontaneous and to just start looking at life from a different perspective, and to find the "little things" that are special at a particular moment. If I was to make a list or outline, I wouldn't be in the moment, and might miss something that would become a "big thing" later.
ReplyDeleteI love this project!!! The thing I have noticed it that is sometimes hard to photograph a "little thing" and have found this to be an additional challenge to this project. Like most of us, I love my camera, and take it along most the time. I have learned to look at things in a different perspective. Yesterday I realized how lucky I was to work only "part time", how do you put that into a photo? It's been so much fun.
ReplyDeletelooking foward to this project it has come at a time in my life where I do appreciate the little things but to document them in this way I can share with my kids and hope they will take it to heart and maybe it wont take them as long as it has taken me to appreciate the "little things"
