one of my favorite things:

take time for inspiration - color book

my kids love learning their colors.
here is a cute and clever little color book to help them on their way.

first, take a picture of your child in their own environment with different colored objects.
(like my daughter eating her yellow banana, or my little boy and his red truck)

second, insert them on a blank memorymixer page and use this tutorial to add the color name underneath the photo.

then print out the pages, punch a hole through them, and fasten together with a metal ring.

our first EVER video tutorial. my first EVER time making a video of just myself (so funny)
i hope i'm not too jumbled and it makes sense to you all!

tutorial: christmas ornament

is your tree trimmed? want to add an extra special touch to your holiday decorations?
try creating these fun and festive ornaments using memorymixer.


1. open a new album and create three landscape pages using a background only.



2. create a blank fourth page, add a round photobox and insert a photo. print all four pages in the album.


3. fold each of the background papers accordion style.


4. adhere pages together to create one large accordion folded page.


5. adhere the two ends together to create a circle shape.


6. cut out the round photo and secure in the middle of the folded circle.


7. punch a hole through the top of the ornament, string with thread, and hang from your tree.

earlier this week, i captured this pic of my hubby...


today i put together this page using memorymixer:



then, i decided to make the page extra special:
i bribed my husband with chocolate to bring his guitar to my computer.
i clicked the 'music & narration' tab.
i clicked 'add narration'
i cued my husband to stat playing my favorite song.
easy as that!!

now every time i open the page, the song will play!!
i can burn it to a cd or dvd, or watch it on my computer.
i can't tell you how much i love knowing i will always have this little thing recorded.


now it is your turn:
