  1. I have two fave little things this week. (Sorry, couldn't choose between the two) 1. My son made his first goal playing varsity soccer (He's a freshman, plays offense and defense. He's doing great.). 2. Also, he finished the first part of his online driver's ed and is getting his permit.

  2. My parents came to visit from out of town yesterday. My 18 mo. old hasn't seen them in person for 5 months, only on the computer when we web chat. Anyway, it melted my heart when she ran over to each of them to give them kisses when they left to go back to their hotel last night. Only bummer was that I didn't have the camera handy.

  3. My favorite little thing is the funny things my kids say. We homeschool and were talking about the Pilgrims. I asked the question what was the name of the ship the Pilgrims came over on? My 6 year old answered... "Cauliflower". Those little jewels to the day really make things fun.

  4. Mine was just last night. I came home from work to find my shoes all over my bedroom floor, but not in a pile. Each shoe was matched with it's mate and they were all lined up. When I asked how they got there, my little girl just looked up at me and smiled and said "I was playing American Idol!" I only wish I could have been there to see her try them on while singing her heart out.

  5. The fact that I have a wonderful sister who let us stay at her house when our heater broke in the middle of the night!

  7. My 5 year old telling me that another name for a scarf is a "muffalo."

  8. Seeing my newly born nephew. Seeing his tiny toes, his tiny fingers... a new life has begun. It's the simple little things - his first smile, his first feed, his first bath that make this new life so exciting. Watching my brother-in-law holding his son (and grinning with pride !)... watching him with this precious new life in his hands.

  9. My 21 month old singing Rain, Rain go away, come again another day. It's hilarious. It's been raining all week off and on here in Phoenix and her timing just couldn't be more perfect.

  13. My favorite thing this week was when my husband and my three boys were all huddled in the hallway watching some report on football. They were supposed to be leaving but they just couldn't miss that report. I think they thought if they stood in the hallway, I would think they were going.

  14. My favorite thing this week was having the sunroof open in the middle of January.

Altho the 'muffalo' comment on colds1 comment made me laugh out loud!

  15. My favorite thing this week was calling my daughter's elementary school (after hours), talking to the principal & having him get her stuffed cat out of her teacher's classroom. He waited an extra 20 minutes outside until we came to get it. He hated to see any of his "kids" upset.

  16. My favourite thing this week is my friend's sense of humour. I've had a bit of a rotten week followed by news that my neighbours two doors down have discovered rats in their garden (I hate rats). Upon telling my friend, she said "well, look on the bright side, if you catch one your son will have something to take in for show and tell!" The thought of my sons's teacher's face if he did that had me falling about laughing. I love my friend for her ability to find the funny side of everything & cheer me up no matter what.

  18. I am the "adopted" Grandma to 2 sweet little boys. Their mom was on a trip this week so I called to see how they were. Aiden is 4 and when he was handed the phone, he said "hi mom" but when I said that it was Grandma TT (his name for me) he screamed "HI GRANDMA TT!!!" It did my heart good!

  19. my favorite little thing this week, was catching my 3 year old sing his heart out to "I Just Can't Wait to be King" from the Lion King. I will never forget that, and the giggles it brought on... I wish I'd had the video camera out! :)

  20. my favorite thing this week was my 2 1/2 year old calling his aunt and telling her he was sorry for breaking something of hers. I told him what he did and told him he would have to call her to say sorry, I didn't have to tell him what to say or anything, he knew exactly what he needed to do. I could hear the sadness and sincerity in his little voice. He is learning some of life's lessons and was brave enough to face them! Proud mommy moment!

It was a special day of remembrance for our family! It was to be our grandson's, her little cousins 2nd birthday!
