My six month old son plays on the floor in my office while I work at home. He had been rolling around (he gets everywhere now) and ended up in front of my desk (I thought he was behind me). I clicked print on the computer, and, as the print was loading the paper and making that noise that it does, I heard a little gasp. I looked down and saw my son face to face with the printer, with his sock hanging from his mouth (he always gets those off), and up on all fours. He looked like the most adorable little puppy! I thought it was so cute that he was startled by the printer noise and fascinated as he watched it print.

The last 2 weeks have brought lots and lots of fog. Every night, thick layers of frost set on the trees creating a beautiful landscape. I was finally able to get a picture one morning on my way to work (in the dark) when the fog actually lifted enough to get a picture.

Getting a phone call from my 7-year-old grandson after trying out the Perfect Brownie Pan I sent him for Christmas. He said, "Beba (that's what he calls me) I made the perfect brownie. They are chewy on the outside and moist in the center. There are no hard edges and they were the best brownies I ever had!" He sounded like a commercial but loves to cook. I was so pleased he got such pleasure out of making the brownies in his own special pan.

ReplyDeleteMy daughter is 15 months old, and currently loves books. We spend a lot of time reading books to her. Between reading books to her she can often be found sitting on the floor flipping through them by herself. Now while she is doing that she pauses at each page and talks and then continues flipping. She reads them to herself! It's too cute!

ReplyDeleteIt was a hard decision to pick my favorite little thing this week. After all, what can compete with Valentines Day? But, after some deliberation and much vacillating, I've decided that watching the USA Olympic Team enter the Place Stadium in the opening ceremony for the 2010 Olympic Games is my favorite little thing this week. My sense of pride in the United States grew exponentially. Besides, the Winter Olympics only happen every 4 years!
ReplyDeleteI've posted my Little Things page in the Memory Mixer User Gallery...

My favorite little thing this week was watching a group of friends dress up as a bunch of Jamaican Rastafarians by painting their faces dark (with the darkest shade of foundation), black coloured crochted rastafarian hats with bright Jamaican colors, black t-shirt with Jamaican flag and very tight black tights to boot! They were the "Jamaican bobsled team."
ReplyDeleteI had never seen anything quite as hilarious, it was just so funny. Their teeth looked bright white with the dark skin contrast which was a hoot to look at on the camera.
