my favorite thing this week was the imagination of my 8 year old and his belief in Leprechauns. Those big brown eyes looking at me with all faith and believe that there are truly leprechauns because he left him some gold....wheeler0223@msn.com
ReplyDeleteJust after I sent my 5 and 4 year olds each to their room, my 4 yr old said, "it's okay mom, I still love you back to the erph (earth) and back."

My favorite little thing...Having green eggs for dinner. My girls (4 & 5) were SO excited, as their 11 yr old brother mocked them. My 5 year old started eating them, and her comment? "Mom, these eggs don't have any flavor. - They taste like EGGS." She was only temporarily disappointed that the green food coloring ONLY added color. BTW - She had a 2nd helping of eggs.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite little thing this week was this...
ReplyDeleteMy husband has been in the hospital all week, last night I went home after being at the hospital all day and my dinner was in the microwave waiting on me.
My 14 year old son fixed dinner, he made General Tso's brocoli chicken (from scratch) learned from daddy..mashed potatos and green beans.
Now that was awesome!

My favorite "little thing" is coming home to my beautiful cat, who waits patiently by the door for me to get home from work and looks at me with such unconditional love. Makes me smile!

My favorite little thing this week was seeing my daughter's face light up when I got home from work. She ran to me with her arms outstretched saying, "Mama!" and gave me big kisses!

My favorite thing this week was hosting a corned beef & cabbage dinner on St Patrick's Day and when my 83-yr old neighbor was leaving while clutching the green carnations I'd given her, said she had had such a fun day.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite "Little Thing" this week was receiving a rare photo of my Sweetie and I. Earlier this month, we attended a concert, and while waiting in line, a young gal was snapping random pics. She took this one of us and said she'd email it to us...and she did! We have a ton of photos of each of us, but not many of us together.

My favorite little this this week is breathing. Ok- that's pretty big, but it's something we take for granted- it's so rutine. I was in the ER all night last night with my son, who has RSV. I have just been listening to him struggle and work for every breath, and it makes me so grateful for the ease with which I breath. I'm grateful for him and his little smile, and I'm grateful for perspective- I know this won't be forever, but times like these sure make me grateful for those "little things" I don't always take the time to appreciate. lydstew@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing was watching my two year old niece hold my 2 month old baby girl, and have her ask, "Can I borrow her for a while?" I can see that they are going to have a great time together one day, and that makes me so happy!!
