While raising all 6 of us kids, my Mom never had the time to develop many hobbies, and true to her generation, didn't work outside the home. Although she is young at heart, her almost 84 year old body is starting to show signs of aging, and she doesn't participate in many of the social activities she enjoys. This year, one of my Take Time resolutions is to drag her out of the house at least once a month, to do some activity; dinner, a stage show, a soak in my footspa, a trip to a local casino...something. Not only will we be enjoying something together, but we will also be making new memories for us to share. =}
ReplyDeleteThis year I am making a bigger effort to take time for my homekeeping work. Last year everything got out of whack with a new baby and I really don't want that to happen again, especially sense we are expecting another baby here in June.! supersara85athotmaildotcom
ReplyDeleteThis year I am taking time to clean my house better. Sounds weird I know, but by better I mean chemical free. I am hoping to help the environment by doing this as well as help the allergies that always seem to occur with the members in my house. Cleaning is much more pure if done without all the harsh chemicals that many of today's products have to offer. craftyjac@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteWith my four boys (ages 6 years to 9 months), life around my house can often be described as chaos. I'm trying to take time every day to just enjoy watching them play. The dishes and dirt can wait ... my boys are gonna grow up!
ReplyDeleteI am going to make time for DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING this year!!! I have been making a few pages a week and uploading them to my blog to share with family and friends! I am thrilled with the switch from paper to digital scrapbooking. I love that I can share my pages online, and the best part is not having to clean anything up afterward! Hooray for Memory Mixer!
ReplyDeleteI am going to take time to journal and scrapbook. I am happy to say that my January pictures are all done, and I'm working on last years now too! It really has made me more happy than I thought it would.
ReplyDeleteThis year I am going to make time for the "little things". I want to make time to volunteer at my kid's school, in my church, and time for myself.
ReplyDeleteFor a few months before the new year started, I kept saying to myself that Year 2011 was going to be all about me. Without sounding selfish, to me this means a year of Reflection, Soul Searching, New Goals, and New Life Direction.
ReplyDeleteI have always felt a need to get involved with the local Humane Society. There is no better time than the present to get involved!
I am going to take extra time to spend with my grandkids, and teach them some of the important things in life...like family, fun, and faith.
ReplyDeleteI'm making room for another baby this year! We just found out we're expecting so I'm going to be taking lots of extra time to enjoy my two littles before their new sibling comes in October.
ReplyDeleteAside from scrapbooking my memories, I'm going to take time with my new nephew. He's the first on my side and he's such a joy. I'll also take the time to scrapbook memories for my brother and his family.

This year...I will take time to notice the things I am thankful for. I have been undergoing major changes in my life and home for the past 8 months...and in the midst of these changes I am refocusing on my children and I. They are small...and they are miraculous. I am often busy with the trials of being newly single....but when I pause...I see my babies grow before my eyes. My camera has a new prominent place in my home...and it will capture us. Living. Changing. Growing ♥
ReplyDeleteI am going to take more time to see the beauty around me, record it with my camera, when possible, and share these adventures with my best friend.
ReplyDeleters. We are also trying to give to others. One unsolicted project is to pack a meal for an elderly neighbor. Tonite we delivered, stuffed pepper, ham and string beans, and mac and cheese with chicken. Hope whoever reads this may also take time to reach out to those around them who need help.
Another helpful endeavor is durin gour morning walks with our dogs, to take the newspaper into the doors of some neighbors who are ill and have trouble in this snow and ice.
Let's look at the small things we can do for those around us.
I'm taking time to plan a little less and enjoy and dream a little more!
ReplyDeleteI am taking time to enjoy time with my family. Making sure to spend less time worrying and more time enjoying those around me who love me and I love that I tend to take for granted.
ReplyDeleteHmmm - I'm going to take time to be "on the floor" more with my kids. Not such a little thing, I guess, but sometimes it does take effort for us to forget about the pile of dishes and loads of laundry and do what matters most in the moments.
ReplyDeleteLast year I started a blog. This year I joined facebook. I will be 60 in September. When I am 90 I want to keep up with technology.
ReplyDeleteI have a 21-month-old son & a 4-month-old son. As many other "more important" things I have to do, I'm going to take time to enjoy them (&, of course take many pics to scrapbook on MemoryMixer software!) so as they get bigger, I have no reasonable regrets over this precious year!
ReplyDeleteI am going to take time for my health.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to being the best me I can be in the next year. I am working to be better physically, spirtually, emotionally. By working to be "the best me" I will grow and become a better wife, mom and friend to the people in my life.
ReplyDelete2011 Is my year to get organized...I have already bought two IKEA Expedit shelving units, organized a mess of childhood photos, and today I bought Photoshop Elements and signed up for my first digital class. Im gonna rock 2011!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to to spend more time with my boys. I worked alot last year and we were hardly home so this year I want to spend more time with them.

This year I am making more time to live everyday like it's my last. I'm spending more quality time with my kiddies & hubby by telling them and showing them just how much they mean to me. I'm trying harder to not sweat the small stuff. The last time my daughters and I saw a rainbow, they wanted to see the end of it, so we hopped in the car and chased it. We look for gorgeous sunsets and when we find them, we really stop and take them in. So far so good! We're all a lot happier.

My goal this year is to live in the moment. Being a working mom, trying to put my husband through school, keep up with the housework, and spend time with my three girls (ages three and under) can be stressful and hectic. I often find myself looking forward to the days when my husband is finally graduated and I can stay home with my kids but I don't want to wish the days away anymore. My kids are growing up right before my eyes and I don't want to miss a second of it!
ReplyDeleteThis year I would love to take a little time to srapbook the 5 years I am behind! I always have something else to do first, but I hope this year I finsih a least 2 years and my little girl frist year book!
ReplyDeleteThis year I want to take more time to scrapbook and use the cute things I keep purchasing for digital scrapbooking. I am a few years behind and would love to catch up.
